Paul Lang, M.D.


Paul Lang, M.D. is an ophthalmologist with fellowship training in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery.

Dr. Lang grew up in Irvine before attending Cornell University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biological Sciences and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Afterwards, he returned to California to attend the Keck School of Medicine of USC, graduating with distinction in research after publishing numerous papers in leading ophthalmology journals and presenting at national conferences. He stayed to complete his ophthalmology residency training at the USC Roski Eye Institute and LA General Medical Center, widely regarded as one of the top ranked and most rigorous programs in the country.

Dr. Lang then completed a fellowship in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery at the world renowned Shiley Eye Institute at UC San Diego. During fellowship he gained expertise in advanced minimally invasive cataract surgery, including ORA intraoperative aberrometry as well as implantation of astigmatism correcting toric lenses and presbyopia-reducing multifocal and extended depth of focus lenses. He also trained in laser vision correction at the Naval Refractive Surgery Center, performing LASIK and PRK on the most advanced laser platforms from Zeiss, Alcon, and Johnson & Johnson.

In addition to treating cataracts and providing laser vision correction, Dr. Lang offers comprehensive eye care for conditions such as diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and dry eye disease. Dr. Lang is thrilled to be returning to his hometown to provide care for a community that has played such a crucial role in his development and growth.
